The Safer Sex In Adult Film Industry Act

If porn producers maintain that consumers will not purchase movies where actors wear condoms, the adult film industry can adjust and incorporate special effects. Film colorists and editors easily can airbrush condoms out and use props for bodily fluids. The Safer Sex in Adult Film Industry Act’s intention was to protect adult film workers, not to provide audiences with PSA for condom use. The First Amendment argument fails on the grounds that digital child pornography (cartoons) is protected but the filming of children is not. Why should adult pornographic actors be subject to health risks because their producers are cheap?
